Do you start something new with enthusiasm, and then lose interest midway? Yes, that’s what we call “giving up”. Giving up defines that you have stopped making an effort towards achieving your goals.
Now, let us see find some reasons why people give up on their goals:
- When goals are unrealistic
- When you overwhelm yourself
- When you fail to set up a system
- When you get busy or distracted, and forget about it
- When you focus on others judgement more than your own

Many successful people failed hundreds of times. If they chose to give up instead of working harder to reach their goals, they would have never succeeded.
Many people just give up because they are scared of failure. But as Gena Showalter said, “Giving up is the only sure way to fail.”
When you think you are failing, always remember the beginning, when you had a goal in mind. A goal is like a beautiful picture framed in your mind of the finished task. Yes, the beginning was simple; carrying through seemed difficult.
Going back to the beginning, and believing in yourself brings into focus the purpose of your endeavor. The memory of anticipation of the job accomplished is stirred up again when you begin to contemplate the reason you began in the first place. Breathe in deep and recall your purpose.
In other words, don’t give up!
